Reparations Have to Start Somewhere
Friday, June 5, 2009
Earlier this week, in the aftermath of the Obamas’ “Date Night in New York City,” I cautioned you not to be distracted by the obvious; that is, the blatant phoniness of these two affirmative-action beneficiary limousine liberals, who jet off on our dime to live it up while we “sacrifice,” enjoying our frozen pizzas and Net Flix movies. Instead, we need to realize that today it’s frozen pizza. Tomorrow it’s rationed health care, if any at all. Now, as the unemployment rate is at a 25-year high, HWWOW (He Who Walks on Water) and the Godmother of Soul, Michelle give us the finger again, saying in effect, “You liked our trip to New York City so much, now we’re taking the kids to Paris for vacation!” I can’t wait to see the woman who looks like James Brown in drag doing her patented Farmer-Brown-behind-a-plow stomp around the City of Lights, and to hear Chris “the Screamer” Matthews try to convince people without impaired vision that she is the second coming of Jackie Kennedy. Remember all those stories and late night jokes about how President Bush was constantly on vacation? Will our Lame Stream Media friends be questioning why after 136 days this arrogant, inexperienced Chicago political hack needs another vacation? Apparently bankrupting future generations is hard work!
I had another thought. Back during the campaign, the Empty-Suit-in-Chief suggested that he might support the concept of reparations; specifically, saying at UNITY ’08, a meeting of minority “journalists” aka cheerleaders for the Obama campaign:
"I personally would want to see our tragic history, or the tragic elements of our history, acknowledged," the Democratic presidential hopeful said.
"I consistently believe that when it comes to whether it's Native Americans or African-American issues or reparations, the most important thing for the U.S. government to do is not just offer words, but offer deeds."
“You know, I have said in the past, and I’ll repeat again, that the best reparations we can provide are good schools in the inner city and jobs for people who are unemployed. And I think that strategies that invest in lifting people out of the legacy of slavery and Jim Crow, but that have brought applicability and allow us to build coalitions to actually get these things done, that, I think, is the best strategy.”
I know what your are thinking, you bitter-clinging typical white person, you; that is, but for the Jim Crow definition of what it means to be black, the infamous “one drop rule,” Barack Hussein would be significantly less “historic,” as in not historic period. As for good schools in the inner city, I’m with you, bro. Does this mean that you’re now supporting school choice, so that poor children can get the sort of education you provide for your daughters and that you touted when introducing your Supreme Court nominee Sonia Sotomayor? No, but you sure talk pretty, man-god.
When you see the drooling, slobbering reports about the Obamas in Paris, look at it this way. Barack and Michelle “First Klingon” Obama, who has lamented what a mean, rotten country this is, are just doing their part to allow our tragic history acknowledged by being the first to accept well deserved reparations, in the form of private jets trips, fancy dinners, family vacations to Paris, and all the other glittering aspects of their glamorous lives. After all, didn’t Michelle, despite having had a white-guilt generated no-work gig for which she got a $200,000+ raise after her husband was elected to Senate, whine that she and her husband had barely paid off their college loans, and say “give us something!” ? Now I realize why she stomps around. Her sense of entitlement is even larger than her substantial caboose.
And don’t forget. Times are hard, and we all, with some notable tax-funded exceptions, need to “sacrifice.”
